How to set up Dmasoft Lab Free Radius With Mikrotik Hotspot

Requirements
1. Installed Radius Server
2. Mikrotik Router
3. Winscp



Step 1: SETUP THE RADIUS SERVER CONNECTION

Click NAS>NEW NAS

Input your NAS Name (Any Name you want)

The IP address of your router (I prefer a dedicated port on the router for radius connectivity)

Type:Mikrotik

Secret: 12345 (you can change this at your will)

Click ADD NAS

Step 2: CONFIGURE YOUR MIKROTIK

Login via winbox

Click the "RADIUS" Tab

Select the + (Add Button)

Choose the ppp option if you want your radius to manage PPPOE connections and Hotspot if you need Radius to manage your voucher/user logins

Input the IP of your Radius Server

Use the password used while setting up NAS i.e 12345

Authentication Port: 1812

Accounting Port: 1813

Change timeout fro 300 to 3000

"APPLY"

On the radius Page click incoming and set port to 1700

Step 3 SETUP HOTSPOT TO WORK WITH FREE RADIUS

From the winbox home page click IP>HOTSPOT

Click the "SERVER PROFILE' tab

Select and open your hotspot server profile 

Go to the RADIUS TAB and enable accounting

And thats all
